Meet Our Team
 
Ashley
Groomer/Co-owner
Ashley developed her love for animals at a young age and has had many in the years since (the list is long however, has included dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, birds etc etc..). It was due to Ashley's love of animals that she decided to pursue a career as a veterinary nurse. Here Ashley was taught professional dog grooming and decided that this career was more suited to her. This is where Barking Beauties came to life. Ashley spends her spare time with her many animals including her St Bernard, Brinkley; Neopolitan Mastif, Malfoy and Spoodle (Poodle X Cocker Spaniel), Jackson. Ashley recently gave birth to her first human baby, Ivy Rose. Congratulations Ashley!
 
 
Kim
Groomer/Co-owner
With a previous career history in administration, dog grooming might seem a bit different for Kim, however, after assisting Ashley in the care of her animals whilst she was young, this is the perfect career for her. Kim has undertaken a professional grooming course to ensure that her skills have been developed to the best of their ability. Kim is a fellow animal lover who enjoys having the company of her furry friends.
 
 
 
 
Renai
Marketing/Groomer/Owner
Having worked in the background of the business on marketing since opening, Renai now joins us in the salon to help with grooming. Leaving behind a career in event management, we look forward to Renai helping to plan more events for Barking Beauties. Renai is excited to join the team and is thrilled that she gets to spend more of her days with her dogs Duke and Duchess.
 
 
 
 
Natasha
Bathing Supervisor
Natasha joins Barking Beauties on Saturdays and afternoons to assist the groomers on duty whilst she is studying her HSC. As a part of her HSC studies Natasha takes part in Animal Care through TAFE. Natasha is the proud owner of her dog Tye.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Kris
Pet Bather
Kris joins our team on Fridays and some afternoons to assist our groomers. Kris is currently studying at UWS to become a primary school teacher. Kris is sometimes joined at the salon by her two pugs, Monty and Chilli.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Hayley
Pet Bather/Groomer
Hayley joins our team on a part-time basis as a pet bather to learn the basics while she trains to become a groomer. In 2010, Hayley completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies at TAFE. Hayley has three beautiful Golden Retrievers.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Allana
Pet Bather/Groomer
Allana joins the Barking Beauties team on a part-time basis as a pet bather to learn the basics while she trains to become a groomer and completes her Certificate II in Animal Studies. Allana is the proud owner of her two dogs, JD and Kimbo.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Brinkley
Brinkley is Ashley's St Bernard. He is enormous!! Brinkley used to join Ashley and the rest of the girls at the salon, however, at the age of 9 months old was found to have elbow and hip dysplasia. He had corrective surgery on the areas, however, this makes it hard for him to join the girls at the salon now. On the days he is in for a bath you may be able to hear him snoring if you listen carefully (he does snore rather loudly).
 
 
Duke
Duke joined the Barking Beauties clan in April 2009 and also joins his mum Renai and the girls at the salon. He is a Shih Tzu and therefore is a small dog. Whilst there is only 8 weeks difference in age between Brinkley and Duke, the size difference is enormous. Duke is our 'meet and greet' dog, who loves to meet everyone dog when they arrive in store. He is a happy and friendly dog who would love to meet your beloved doggie soon.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Malfoy
Malfoy joined the Barking Beauties a short time ago and lives with Ashley and Brinkley. He is Brinkley's new playmate. Malfoy (named after the Harry Potter character) is a Neopolitan Mastif and is another big dog. He will be approximately 70kg when he is fully grown.
 
Duchess
Duchess is the latest addition to the Barking Beauties clan. She is Duke's sister (both biologically with the same birth mother and the same adpotive mother - Renai). She is teeny tiny, but she has a very strong personality. She will bark at you to pick her up and loves a cuddle. She will come to meet you at the door with Duke as she follows her older brothers every step.
