About Us
The concept for Barking Beauties was established in late 2008 by Ashley after establishing her skills as a veterinary nurse at a Sydney Vet Hospital. Ashley decided that she enjoyed the grooming side of her job more than the sick and injured animals as this was a much more fun and exciting experience than dealing with the sad families who had lost a beloved pet. It was then that Ashley embarked on the journey of opening her own business in partnership with her mother, Kim.
This small family owned and run business opened in Revesby in January 2009 and has been enjoying success ever since.
In April 2009 the business was nominated as a finalist in the Bankstown Business Awards as an Outstanding New Business. This was voted by our customers who enjoy our friendly customer service and the high quality of our work. In conjunction with this award, Ashley was also nominated as a finalist in the category of Outstanding Youth award in the Bankstown Business Awards for her entrepreneurship and tremendous contribution to the success of Barking Beauties.
In September 2009 the business was nominated as a finalist in the Canterbury Bankstown Business Achiever Awards in the categories of Best New Business and Best Specialty Store. These were also voted by our customers who enjoy our friendly customer service and the high quality of our work.
On 16 October 2009, Barking Beauties was announced as the winner of New Business in the Canterbury Bankstown Business Achiever Awards. We are thrilled to have been given this honour, beating many worthy businesses.
